Covid 19 Guidelines

2020 has proved to be a challenging time for both society and our hobby, but with permission from the BRCA the club is allowed to resume racing.
Due to the circumstances of Covid 19 we ask anyone who wishes to race with us please follow the guidelines below;

Firstly “Don’t do a Dom”, if you have any symptoms OR have been in close
contact with someone who has tested positive please stay at home in isolation for
the required time and don’t travel. We will be happy to see you at the following
round (3 weeks between gives you time to isolate and miss minimal racing
hopefully if it has to be any)
- The Following will not be provided by the club so you MUST bring
*Hi-Viz vest/Waistcoat for marshalling (you can rent one from the club for £3
(collect round 1 and keep until the last round and return)
*Gloves for marshalling- work ones not disposable latex
*Facemasks for times social distancing maybe reduced e.g. if you are asked to
help carry the generator so you can have power - these are not mandatory on the
rostrum as you will be 2m apart
*Hand Sanitiser
*Table and Chair and Extension (if you currently store yours in the container
you will have to take it home after your first round)
*Surface wipes for toilets

 The BRCA recommend you also bring;
- A face shield (these can be purchased from Ian Willacy for £4 (£1 per shield will
be donated to the club) - he accepts PayPal or bank transfer and can be contacted
on facebook or email ianwillacy@hotmail.com
 Disposable latex gloves
 Surface cleaner
*Hand Wipes
And a few ESSENTIALS for race day;
 A Sense of Humour (it’s new for all of us)
 Patience (we won’t get everything right before we try things)
 Listening ears - There will be lots of announcements to start with so
keep listening!
 Gazebo/shelter (to ensure social distancing we will not be using the club gazebos
this season. This is the norm as most clubs, so some may have your own shelters

Stay safe and enjoy your racing
