The club car is available to try for anyone new to the hobby who would like to give it a R/C racing a go. It offers a great opportunity to try before you buy, to see if racing is for you. Committee members and other racers will be on-hand throughout the day to make sure everything is working correctly and offer you tips, advice and support.

The club car is a trusty Tamiya M-05 with a Mini bodyshell. The M-Chassis cars are a great starting point for beginners as they are simple to just pick up and drive, with minimal setup and faff necessary.
The club car will be accompanied by two Nimh batteries, which again are great for those who just want to charge up and get racing as quickly and easily as possible.
The transmitter is a pistol-style remote, which offers an intuitive steering wheel to turn and a trigger to accelerate, brake and reverse.

Although the M-Chassis class is easy to get into, it can get very competitive at the top end, and offers an "easy to learn, difficult to master" experience, meaning it is a great class for progression.

The M-05 is a Fwd chassis, meaning it isn't affected too much by the weather, so damp or wet conditions shouldn't put beginners off.
