The Touring Car (TC) class offers the most variety in terms of manufacturer's chassis that can be raced at CRMCC. Seasoned racers often use high-end chassis from brands such as X-Ray, Schumacher, Yokomo, Mugen, and RC Maker, which offer cutting edge technology and materials, but usually at a higher price.

For anyone new to the hobby, the popular Tamiya TT-01, TT-01E, and TT-02 kits can be found in most hobby shops and easily online, often available as a bundle with everything else you need to get started. These are a great starting point as they are relatively inexpensive to begin with, and replacement parts can be found easily and cheaply. They also offer a huge potential for upgrades, so the car can also improve as you do.

Other excellent beginner options for those looking for a car to be more competitive without needing to upgrade them are the Yokomo RS1.0 and RS2.0, and the Schumacher Vibe. These offer similar performance and adjustability as some of the high-end chassis, but use plastics rather than carbon fibre which helps to keep the price much lower.

As always, if you have any questions about your setup, or whether something would be legal to run in the class, we have an active Facebook community where our members and committee are always there to help out.
