The Tamiya M-Chassis class is open to any car based on a platform prefixed with "M-", such as the M-07. This is a 2wd class, although some chassis are Fwd and some are Rwd. This is denoted by the number of the chassis, with odd numbers (M-01, M-03, M-05, M-07) being Fwd, and even numbers (M-02, M-04, M-06, M-08) being Rwd. Beginners to this class may want to look at the Fwd chassis first, as the Rwd can be a bit more difficult to handle, particularly if it rains!

One of the unique things about the M-Chassis platforms is that the wheelbase is interchangeable between short (210mm), medium (225mm), and long (239mm), although not all chassis offer all options. This makes for a huge number of bodyshells being available, creating some fantastic variety in the races.

This class is governed by some reasonably strict rules, which enables us to keep the racing closer and make sure costs are kept to a minimum whilst still being competitive. Rules such as fixed motor type and fixed gearing mean that the playing field is kept level, with no drivers being at an advantage from a kit point of view, no matter how long they've been racing.

The Rules

The M-Chassis class runs close to the rules found on the BRCA website and what other clubs in the country run. For ease and clarity, here are the rules we adhere to at CRMCC:
