The Formula 1 class is open to any 1:10 scale F1 style chassis, based on either a classic or modern F1 car. The rules in this class are relaxed, allowing for brushless motors and Lipo batteries, and tyre choice is wide open too.

This class is usually more popular with people who already have a lot of racing under their belt, as it can be quite challenging to get to grips with the speed these ultra-lightweight cars can produce, particularly in damp or wet weather.

The Rules

The Formula 1 class uses the same rules found on the BRCA website.

  • Any 1:10 scale F1 chassis

  • Any tyres

  • Tyre additive and warmers and permitted

  • Brushed or brushless motors permitted

  • Lipo, Nimh or NiCad batteries all permitted

  • All other rules as per BRCA
